On March 19th 2015 the German Cancer Society (in cooperation with the Working Group of Medical Oncologists) presented a symposium in Heidelberg focussing on the role of biomarkers in solid cancers. Prof Lambrechts, (Leuven), presented novel findings from large clinical trials which indicate that biomarkers may be helpful for tailoring anti-angiogenic agents in cancer patients. In the session chaired by Dr. Ebert, University Hospital Mannheim (UHEI), these findings were discussed on the basis of ongoing studies in other large cooperative and research consortia, such as Angiopredict.
